VUE al-4s help provide The Magic Of Christmas in Portland ME

For the 2019 Holiday Season, The Magic Of Christmas is taking place at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine and the 82 piece orchestra will be performing over a 3 week period. In the past, Daniel Willis of AV Technik reports having used Dynacord Cobra and Meyer fill speakers mounted in the auditorium. When asked why he switched to VUE Audio al-4 he stated “We have always used Dynacord Cobra for this event – we felt that for how detailed the VUE al-4 is, it would be perfect for a large orchestra and vocalists.”

AV Technik’s system engineer, Nick Pires, utilized Ease Focus to spec out 12 al-4s per side and ensure the rig was deployed properly. After the first performance, Willis explained “The system has exceeded our expectations for this application…Sound Killer…Our client (PSO) is thrilled. The coverage in the 2200 seat auditorium including the balcony, was crystal clear to the last row.”

VUE al-4 install provides much needed clarity to congregation

Co-pastor Justin Hoeppner had been planning an audio system upgrade for New Community Church in Vista CA., for almost 2 years. The church seats about 600 with the aid of a huge balcony that extends out over half of the lower level. This always presented an audio challenge. With a weekly attendance of 400, New Community takes their audio presentation seriously. Co-paster Justin Hoeppner described the old audio system “Our old system was tired, rundown and cranky. It had virtually no high frequency response which gave us a muddy mid-range”. New Community was founded in 1926 and their current building is at least 25 years old. They decided it was time for an upgrade.
