ABOUT THE NOMINATED al-12 LARGE-FORMAT LINE ARRAY SYSTEM
VUE’s al-Class line array systems have achieved international recognition by raising the bar for sonic definition, through a combination of advanced transducer design with superior Truextent® beryllium diaphragms, Kevlar cones, and neodymium magnets and tightly integrated DSP / amplification. VUE has created a high-output system for large-scale applications that is faithful to the fidelity standards established with the al-4 and al-8 systems. Maintaining the definition and linearity of VUE’s smaller line array systems, while producing output levels required for large events up to stadium applications, the al-12 utilizes VUE’s Acoustic Linearity principles incorporating proprietary CST™ technology to achieve seamless performance and system scalability across all al-Class line array elements.
al-12 is the first full sized line array system that exhibits infinite scalability with its mid- and compact sized counterparts. The al-12 is the world’s first 12” line array system where beryllium diaphragms (vs. more commonly used diaphragm materials such as aluminum and titanium), are employed to achieve a significant reduction in high frequency distortion. The listening experience is improved by moving the first break-up modes well above the audible frequency range. This product (al-12) brings a new level of clarity and performance capabilities for better-controlled coverage in large format venues while maintaining the same sonic signature regardless of the listener’s seat or standing position.
The al-12 gives sound companies and permanent system designers a new tool for deploying systems from a small soft-seat theatre to a large-scale stadium application, without having to reach for a separate solution or another manufacturer’s product, which would effectively break the uniformity or continuity of the sonic signature. No matter where a performer plays, this reliable sound signature can be applied to every-sized venue, and on every night of a tour.
