Three Dog Night recently performed their string of hits such as “One”, “Joy To The World”, “Mama Told Me” “Shambala” and many more. Their music has always contained great dynamics, lush vocal harmonies and intricate instrument arrangements. So much so, that when Sound Image was employed to provide sound for their appearance at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Arizona, Systems Engineer Chris White, spec’d a VUE Audiotechnik al-12 acoustic linearity line array for pristine sound reproduction.
VUE System at the heart of the Neon Carnival 2023
n June 15th, the Neon Carnival made a triumphant return to Coachella Valley, California, to mark 12 years of one of the biggest and most prestigious late-night celebrations of the year. The gathering, which attracts thousands of people and produced by Bolthouse Productions and Best Events (Brent Bolthouse and Jeffrey Best), is three football fields long and features food, games, and music. Neptune Productions returned to support Above The Line and provide sound for the party with numerous VUE Audiotechink arrays and subs to fill the outdoor space.

VUE brings concert clarity to historic Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco
The old vaudeville theater opened in 1922 and became a Cinerama movie theater in the 1960s. Today it is owned by SHN where they have proudly presented Broadway productions at the Golden Gate Theatre including, Chicago, Hairspray, Mamma Mia! And Rent. With a capacity of 2,297 it is also a popular destination for touring plays, operas and live music.
Recently, legendary musicians Daryl Hall and Todd Rundgren performed at the Golden Gate Theatre. Sound Image Productions were tasked with providing a full system for both bands. Rundgren is no stranger to VUE. Todd toured with al-8 arrays in 2018 and obtained VUE hm-112 and hm-212 monitors with VUEdrive amps for his 2019 tour. For the Golden Gate Theatre, Sound Image provided 18 al-12 acoustic linearity line array elements – arrays of 9 al-12s flown each side of the stage. The orchestra pit held 8 hs-221 subs.
Sound Image brings Lizzo show to new sonic levels in Mountain View CA
Hip-Hop megastar Lizzo, will be hitting the road on an arena tour this fall. But this spring, she played the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View California for Google’s Return To Office Concert. Sound Image was provided a rider that spec’d a VUE al-system and deployed Winston Damme as FOH tech and Mike Brown as System tech from Sound Image’s San Francisco branch.
