New hm-115 monitors join al-Class line arrays for an end-of-summer hootenanny in Hermosa Beach.
September 18th, 2018 – Hermosa Beach, CA
Bell Events Services recently deployed VUE al-Class line arrays and hm-Class stage monitors Labor Day weekend’s Fiesta Hermosa Arts and Crafts Festival in downtown Hermosa Beach. Marking the official end of summer for more than 150,000 attendees, the Fiesta Hermosa Labor Day attraction brings together than 300 vendors with dozens of local and regional talent across two stages.
At the Charity Beer & Wine Garden stage, dual ground-stacked al-4 arrays included eight elements per side with two al-4SB subwoofers for low-frequency support. Power and processing came courtesy of VUEDrive V4 Systems Engines while Allen & Heath iLive consoles handled both FOH and monitor mixes.
“The al-4 and al-4sb’s lightweight structure, ease of assembly, and superior clarity makes them the best gigging system around,” said CJ Flanagan, 2nd Engineer for Bell Events Services. Flanagan ran FOH at the Beer Garden & Wine stage. “I use them on a countless variety of events and they receive nothing but praise from our clientele.”
In addition to the al-Class line arrays, VUE hm-Class monitors were used across both festival stages. Including – for the first time as a permanent part of Bell Events’ inventory—the recently announced hm-115.
“As the newest VUE monitor, I wanted to give the hm-115 a thorough run through,” commented Tim Campbell, Audio Supervisor and Operations manager at Bell Events. “On days one and two we used them for vocals, then moved them to side fill on days three and four. They performed flawlessly with massive amounts of headroom, clarity and seamless vocals around the entire 30 x 24 stage. Near Nirvana, as far as monitors go.”
This was the third year in a row that Bell has tapped into their versatile VUE inventory for this popular close-of-summer beach festival. Please visit http://www.belleventservices.com for more information.
