Nashville-based Myers joins growing al-12 line-array partner network

Today, VUE announced that Myers Concert Productions has joined its partner network with the purchase of a sizable al-Class hybrid line array system. This acquisition makes the Southeast United States VUE’s second-largest region—in terms of gear on the ground.
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Myers Concert Productions provides full-service audio, video, lighting, and staging, as well as system design and installation services, throughout the Southeast. Myers joins the VUE family after an extensive year-long critical-listening evaluation of all major brands’ line array offerings.
Myers is the latest in a string of strategic network expansions for VUE that reflect growing market demands for the al-Class in particular. The announcement comes on the heels of two recent bi-coastal network additions—Harmony Event Productions in Santa Fe Springs, Ca., and Metro New-York/Tri-State Dynamic Productions.
According to Myers Concert Productions owner, DJ Myers, their evaluation and decision-making process was guided by 3 main criteria: 1) maintaining a competitive advantage by offering leading-edge technology; 2) delivering the sound quality national artists demand and 3) provide for easy scalability to meet the needs for any size event.

“While searching for a replacement for our previous PA, we spent months listening to many of the current line arrays on the market,” explained Myers. “In addition to demos from the top manufacturers, we went the extra mile to rent and set up rigs in our warehouse in order to spend more time with the systems and hear them for ourselves using our own tracks. We kept coming back to the al-Class boxes because they delivered consistent, incredible voicing and high output all in a well designed lightweight box. However, it was the system’s scalability that really got our attention. We liked how easy it was to mix and match the al-Class elements for any event from a corporate meeting in a small ballroom to large format outdoor festivals—all while delivering that consistent VUE sound.”
This increased functionality and sound quality will allow Myers Concert Productions to not only deliver the horsepower to attract top-tier national touring acts, but it will also allow them to quickly and easily diversify into smaller-scale, more niche work. Myers will also begin specifying the entire VUE line to his install clients, with a particular emphasis on the house of worship market. “We can bring the same voicing and detail clients hear from the al-12 at their favorite Christian rock concert to their sanctuary via the incredibly powerful al-4 and al-8 boxes,” Myers expressed.
Myers Concert Productions took delivery of their new rig in January, just in time for the start of their busy season.
